Hi, I’m Jessica Froberg. In 2018, I was chosen as a PitchWars mentee where I had my first taste of big edits and what they could accomplish for a story. In the last seven years, I’ve written six books and spent thousands of hours getting to know the craft side of things and the publishing industry. I developed a huge passion for helping people improve their writing, and I use my teaching background to ensure I’m doing more than editing—I’m helping you grow as a writer.
From 2019-2021 I was a slush pile reader for Pitch Wars and Author Mentor Match, analyzing hundreds of queries. I know what makes queries stand out and pack a punch, and after querying five books with high request rates and helping friends pitch to publishers, I know how to create an excellent hook.
I’m a PNWA contest finalist and am a mom to three boys, a cat, and way too many plants.
Fun Facts:
I’m a stablehand! I spend my mornings taking care of a stable of horses.
I’ve written four YA fantasies, one MG contemporary fantasy, one adult romcom, and one adult sci-fi.
I have a degree in Elementary Education.
